RITUAL DAN NARASI TRADISI LEGO-LEGO SUKU ABUI: DINAMIKA PERUBAHAN DAN KESINAMBUNGAN RITUS SAKRAL DI ERA WISATA BUDAYA
Abstract
Relasi dialektik antara ritual dan narasi tumbuh dari prinsip kesinambungan yang merepresentasikan berhentinya waktu sekaligus waktu yang mengalir. Pada prinsip demikian, bagaimana mekanisme internal suku Abui mendamaikan kontradiksi zaman yang mempengaruhi eksistensi tradisi lego-lego? Tradisi lego-lego suku Abui menghuni dua kategori universal dalam kehidupan masyarakat Abui, yakni sebagai ritus yang sacral serta kegiatan ekonomi yang profan. Dengan ilustrasi dan contoh dari timur Indonesia artikel ini mengajak diskusi lebih lanjut mengenai kesinambungan tradisi-tradisi menghadapi tantangan internal bahwa apa yang eksis di hari-hari depan apakah tradisi sebagai ritual atau pertunjukkan serta peluang harmonisasi keduanya atau degradasi salah satu karena satu yang lainnya. Kecukupan dimensi sakral tradisi di tengah waktu yang terus berubah dikombinasikan kedisiplinan tetua melaksanakan ritual dan menjaga sakralitas ritual tersebut, serta adanya keuntungan langsung dari pertunjukan lego-lego yang didapat merupakan faktor-faktor yang patut diperhitungkan untuk menilai eksistensi tradisi lego-lego. Elaborasi faktor-faktor tersebut masih memberi gambaran cerah bagi tradisi lego-lego di masa depan.
